Your eyes do not deceive you, I am in a construction site! If you’ve been living under a rock or not following me on Instagram (which, why not?!) then you may not know that we are finishing the downstairs of #PatriciasPalace! I’m so excited and have looked forward to this for years, basically since I bought this little house.

This project will just about double my living space which ever since Will moved in, we are busting at the seams, especially in terms of closet space! As of right now the framing is done as well as the rough in electrical work. Next up will be heating/ac work, plumbing, drywall, flooring then the aesthetic stuff like paint, trim, built-ins, etc. So here’s what the space will include and what I’m thinking:

Informal living room- this will be the new room we watch tv in. It will have a sectional sofa, which I am so looking forward to, wall mounted tv, built in shelf for games and the tv equipment and access to our storage room

Hangout room- I don’t know what to call this space as it’s open and the first room you walk into from upstairs as well as has the french door to go out to the back patio. I plan to have a built in bar with cabinets and shelves because I basically collect plates and cups. It will also include builtins around the door to act as a mud room of sorts with benches to take shoes off, cabinets to store dog leashes and hooks to hang coats. Lastly I plan to put a big table in this room to play games, entertain and a space interns can use for Piqued PR too.

Guest room- we have a guest room upstairs but can always use an extra bed for friends and family to crash. I’ve toyed with the idea of this being an exercise room instead but it’s still TBD.

Powder room- this will be the 3rd bathroom in the house, however this one will just be a toilet and sink. No bath or shower but it will be nice to not have to walk upstairs to use the bathroom when downstairs.

Closet room- this is my FAVORITE part! I’ve always wanted a walk in closet or closet room so we’re making a small closet room to house my clothes and making it super pretty and girly of course!

Large storage room- this is the room our water tank and filtration system are in and will keep out cleaning supplies, extra pantry items, etc. Nothing frilly and fancy here but I plan to make it super organized and I bought this book to help me with it.

Laundry room- this is essentially  large closet size and houses the washer and dryer as well as all the products needed for such

Small storage room- our heater is back here as well as out electrical panel so this room will just house Will’s golf clubs, luggage, etc. Stuff that we can easily move out of the way

Stay tuned as I’ll share the inspiration, plans, etc. for reach room individually in upcoming posts, updates and of course a final reveal whenever it’s finished. I also share a lot in my decision making process on social media too!
